Khadempour Lab

Microbial ecology and insect-microbial symbiosis

(he/him)

I love the ecology and evolution of host animals and their microbial assemblages. In the Khadempour Lab, I will be using a multi-omics approach to determine the function of bacteria found in the Honeypot ant replete crop. My previous work was in the land snail microbiomes of Oreohelix and Naesiotus, so learning about microbial interactions in ants is very new and exciting! For fun I like to play soccer, any racket sport, DnD, hike and eat/cook good food.
